If it is the high precision of the inner channels that matters where as resistance to temperatures, acids and leaches is of lesser importance, bundles of separately laminated capillaries are the best choice. The single capillaries are prefabricated with high precision and then bundled together by a special adhesive.

By joining together many capillaries to build a preform, we can produce glass capillary tubes with a great deal of inner channels. This way, we can produce more than 30 channels within one round capillary tube. Due to the production technique, the geometry of the inner channels diverges from the optimal round shape, but nevertheless, the inner volume of the separate chambers remains constant.

As a result of a customised request, we are now able to producemulti-channel capillaries with up to 250 channels on a cross section ofapprox. 3 mm. These capillaries made of solid borosilicate glass 3.3 have a channel diameter of approx. 80 ± 20 µm.
