These small pellets from bonding agent-free sintered glass represent a completely new substrate for the use in bioreactors. By the open-porous structure of approx. 40 - 100 µm, microorganisms can deposit themselves in the cavities between the sintered glass particles.
Even deeply inside stored cells are supplied thereby with the surrounding medium. The smooth surface of the material and the high purity of the used glass offer optimal conditions for a high cell growth.
Special characteristics:
- sintered from pure borosilicate glass 3.3
- pore size approx. 40 - 100 µm
- pellet diameter 4 mm
- large surface
- optimal flow characteristics
- high surface charging (Zeta potential)
- first-class biocompatibility
- Increase of cell growth since no agglomeration of cells by confinement takes place in micro-capsules.
