Form
Glass spirals are produced in many geometric forms. Among them are the classic forms round as well as square, rectangular or triangular. A characteristic of all glass spirals is the wound glass rod that continues circularly in longitudinal direction. Different pitches can be realized, as well as different diameters and wall thicknesses.
Measurements
- Up to now, we have realized the following shapes:
- Round, oval
- Square, rectangular
- Triangular
- Hexagon
It is the inner diameter of the spirals that counts; it can lie between 2 mm and 20 mm. With the employment of new tools, larger diameters are also possible.
The diameter of the coiled rod may be from very thin up to very thick, which depends on the diameter and lead of the spiral.
