The Hilgenberg crystal preparation and filling device according to Dr. Scheidsteger© is a glass device with which it is possible to transfer sensitive crystals easily from the crystallization dish to the capillary.
The whole apparatus consists of a cooling vessel and the actual filling device that is integrated into the cooling vessel. The apparatus can be used with or without cooling, as required.
The device can be evacuated with a high vacuum pump. It is ventilated through a two-way cock with olive. Crystals are filled in through the filling cut. The upper opening of the device therefore remains closed during the whole filling process.
The crystals are prepared via a lateral cut with rubber diaphragm sluice. The sequence of the works is described in a detailed manual.
